How do I log into this thing?

What is this Flash warning?

If you see a "Flash Player Not Detected" warning ... enable your Flash.

In Chrome:

  • (padlock icon)
  • Site Settings
  • Flash
  • Enabled

What browser do I need?

Any modern browser should work. The system is tested to work on the latest 2 versions of Chrome & Edge Chromium, etc.

IE11 would work but throw a warning

What's my password?

Click the Click here link next to "Forgot your password?"

I have a new lead, how do I setup a new account for them?

a) Let's find the Create User page

Click here or follow the image below, Top Menu: People >> Users >> Add New User

b) Let's uniquely identify the account.

Select or input the following so your user can login:

  • Organization, ICOM Demo
  • Name to Display, A friendly name to identify the user
  • Username, is what the user uses to login with
  • Password, make note of this password so you can email it to your new lead

c) Let's enroll your new user in their courses.

Please note:

  • Like school, an enrollment is required by each student hoping to attend a course
  • Different students will most likely have different enrollments

Membership in a group is how most users will become enrolled in their courses. Groups under the parent group "Singles" will have names that match the course they'll enroll your user in. Eg: The group "City of Calgary Ready Calgary" should enroll it's members in the course "City of Calgary Ready Calgary"

Appropriate groups can be discovered by searching for them with the filter bar. Checkmark the DEMO courses you want your user have listed on their home page.

Role

Users reviewing courses should have a role of Learner.

Adding an email for a user allows them to reset their own password

My lead has an account already, how do I add more enrollments for them?

a) Let's find then edit that lead's user account

  • Follow the image below, Top Menu: People >> Users >> List User
  • Because of the large number of accounts, input a filter term then click "Filter"
  • View your user

b) Checkmark new groups then click Save at the bottom of the page.

How do I remove courses from my Lead's home page?

a) Ungroup

  • Visit the lead's Edit User page (just like the step above "My lead has an account already, how do I add more enrollments for them?")
  • Uncheck the group representing the course you want to remove
  • Save user
  • This will prevent them from getting enrolled again in that course

b) Inactivate enrollment

  • Visit the lead's Edit User page (just like the step above "My lead has an account already, how do I add more enrollments for them?")

From the left-sidebar click: List this User's Enrollments

  • Checkmarks the enrollments you want to inactivate
  • Select: Inactivate
  • Click: Go

I can't find the right group but I know the course is in the system!

Not all courses have a child group listed under "Singles". This might be because of an oversight by a Deployment Agent when the course was originally deployed or it may be because of a problem with the course. Enrollments can be added manually with the Enrollment Wizard.
