ICOM Calgary FTP

ICOM Calgary FTP is a service used by remote workers to upload & download ICOM files.

ICOM Usage

Adding accounts

Select Edit then click Users
In the Users Dialog Box, select Add
Type in Initial (First Name) + Last Name
Select Group Membership, based on job role
- Content Developer? ICOM Full
- QA team? ICOM QA
- Others? ICOM Limited
Check Password and type in a safe password 8 characters long with letters & numbers: https://passwordsgenerator.net/
Click OK to save User Account

Freshdesk has a Canned Response with the vital details
For security, try to text their password to their mobile phone (when possible)
- Password can be emailed in a second email as an alternative

Folder creation
- Go to P:\FTP-Accounts\Voice-Artists\
- Create FTP Account Folder : Initial (First Name) + Last Name
FTP Account setup
- Remote into icomnt14
- Open FileZilla FTP server
- Select Edit then click Users
- In the Users Dialog Box, select Add
- Type in Initial (First Name) + Last Name
- Set Password
- Select Shared Folders
- Click Add in the Shared Folders and browse User Account Folder
- Click OK to select the User Account folder
- Check appropriate Permissions
- Set as Home Directory
- Click OK to save User Account

FTP Account Info - Voice Artists

FileZilla Groups can be edited to include new drives
- Click Group
- Select Shared Folders
- Add or Rename existing Directory
  - Input UNC path, eg: \\icomnt13\_Public
- Right-click, Edit Aliases
  - Input name for directory, eg: /P_Drive
Server file permissions
- Ensure ICOMNT14$ has read/write access to the target directory
