Suncor

Suncor is an ICOM client.

Overview

They have 3 FiLMS instances hosted with ICOM:

      • english, french, chinese, arabic courses

They also have their own SAP LMS:

Suncor will be transitioning to a new LMS "over the next year" (May 2014 - ):

SFTP File Transfer

Suncor has provided ICOM with a SFTP account on their servers so they can transfer files to us. Because of the connection type we must use Filezilla (pictured to the right).

So going forward we will need to provide them with a zip file that contains • Source files • HTML version (standalone version of our flash courses) • SCORM version I think its important that PM’s that will work on Suncor project in future are aware of this default standard and communicate that as a deliverable to development as part of the project plan. This could fit nicely in warranty phase of the project where all content will be locked down and no more changes are expected.. Let me know if I have any questions This will have to be done for all courses (flash, rapid dev and lectora) Cheers Vik

LSO

Known issues

Courses deployed in the Suncor LMS, LSO, must have special settings:

Previous Issues

  • Suncor had an odd issue with slide based courses where some computers didn't populate the total file size/ size loaded of audio files thus wouldn't show controls or play audio on relaunch of slide. Within interface I removed code to check these values and always show audio control and always play regardless if audio fully loaded.

My Rewards

My rewards is a password protected portal. Purportedly it hosts web resources:

Job Aid Intranet/Livelink

An internal html resource with dynamic menu for guide https://docs.google.com/a/icomproductions.ca/document/d/19evz9IDJ4frhf9SWMOoZQJ0hzAZnIxYMLvTwWz0E5YM/edit In order to work in their intranet hosting, oddly the site needs to "Save as *.MHT" in internet explorer in order to work since some how the javascript won't work.

Anti Corruption USB

Y:\Suncor\_usb tracking has a northcode flash menu that records user info for tracking data to films upon course launch films_ini.txt

<COURSE_COMPLETION>http://suncorint.icomproductions.ca/includes/modules/FM_ExternalAPI/scripts/set_enrollment.php</COURSE_COMPLETION>

Courses to be tracked and not launched go here http://suncorint.icomproductions.ca/, so only their structure.xml file needs to be imported
