More info

2011 - 2015

Status: Current / Retiring (Support and Maintenance, No New Features)

Development Language: ActionScript 2

Backwards Compatibility: Brain 2 lesson content is supported (limited), Brain 2 interfaces, certificates, etc. must be converted to Brain 3 format.

Notes

  • This is the version currently in use for all of our courses but will be moved to a retired status when Brain 4 is released.
  • As a retired version, developers may make bug fixes if required but will not actively develop new features.

Brain 2/2.5

More info

1996* - 2010

Status: Dead (Support, No Maintenance, No Development)

Development Language: ActionScript 2

Backwards Compatibility: N/A

Notes

  • This version is officially dead; there are no benefits for its use that are not outweighed by the cost of supporting it (note - Telus language switching courses are the only exception)
  • No course should be developed using brain 2 or 2.5 going forward.
  • Old courses that come back for updates should be migrated to brain 3, as the conversion takes about a day, but saves many days in support going forward.
