AltaLink

AltaLink is an ICOM client. They use SuccessFactors LMS. They may have used Moodle originally for their course Code of Business Ethics and Business Conduct.

Deployment

Moodle LMS. It may support objectives, but so far we have deployed without.

Simple Webmail Transfer:

To send files via email to up to 10 recipients (internal or external, who do not need to register accounts to receive the files) simply log in to your account at http://transfer.altalink.ca:8080 and click on the “New Upload” button.

Enter the recipient’s email address(es), optionally type a note that will be included in the body of the notification email and click the “Upload Files” button

Select files to be transferred from the left window, use the blue arrows to add them to the transfer queue and click “Start Upload” to send the transfer email notification to your recipients.

After submitting your upload, you may add the contact(s) into an address book for easy future access by clicking the “Add New Contacts” button.

The recipient(s) will receive an email from the File Transfer System containing a clickable link and a PIN number which will allow them to download the files you have uploaded.

There is also a link on the download page that the recipients can click to send a notification to the sender that the file(s) have been received.
