Downloads

Downloads is a service available for users within the ICOM Calgary office that allows users to share files with people outside of our network without a username/password.

Warnings!

  • Temporary storage only! Files may be deleted for space without warning.
  • Non-confidential content only! No username/password will be requested. For more security, see ICOM File Manager.
  • Outbound sharing only! For receiving files from clients, see ICOM File Manager.

Use

Drop files on the mapped drive O:\

Need mapping? Click here

User creates URL web link based on O: location

http://downloads.icomproductions.ca/[folder structure]/[filename]

* Note: Use forward slashes not backslashes

Eg:

O:\test\test.zip

... becomes ...

http://downloads.icomproductions.ca/test/test.zip

* Note: TEST BEFORE SENDING

User emails URL to client

Client clicks on URL and the file downloads

Limitations

  • File size maximum of 4.9 GB
  • Files may be deleted for space without warning
  • Directory listings are disabled for security reasons. Clients will need a link to an actual file
