Convert Brain SWF to EXE

Overview

Brain courses require Flash Player to operate. With support for Flash decreasing its becoming harder to launch these. For local use, like in the SPAT, an EXE version of the course is usually more stable than a HTML/SWF version.

FiLMS Brain requires it's Configuration file

Flash interface blocked from loading it's configuration file.

You do not meet all the browser requirements

HTML blocked from embedding Flash interface.

Converting SWF Interface

swf tools provides an app named SWF to EXE Converter that can convert a Brain interface file to an EXE:

Add a File


Browse

Open the interface, eg:

  • *index*.swf
  • *interface*.swf

Convert


Sucessed


Move

Move the EXE from the output directory to your course directory.

If SPAT, update to point to EXE instead of HTML
